(Frankly, Missy Bear is curious why they chose to release 'banana' for the pattern series; Are they into bananas?? keke)

Post note: Heard from fellow bearbrick collectors that Andy is well-known for pop-out art and that his signature 'sign' is actually that of the fruit, banana...hmm

Tokidoki, with love~

It has been a rather 'quiet' year for Missy Bear's blog for there isn't much bearbrick (bb) collection that attracts her lately (good for her pocket though..!! lol)..

The latest addition to Missy Bear's bb collection is 'Tiger' by Tokidoki. Well...Tokidoki's work had always much attracted Missy Bear for its cute and yet trendy design...Having said so, Missy Bear is yet letting go of the upcoming 'Wolf' bb. It looks kinda too fierce for her...keke...What do u guys think? :)

* Pics in this entry are taken via iphone 4...
___________________________________________________________

Pic 1: Ahem, Mr Tiger is contemplating to be the new ambassador for fillet o'fish..Any takers? lol

(In the pic: Tokidoki 'Tiger' 100%)

Pic 2: Now you'll see the reason to why I'm posing Mr Tiger with fillet o'fish...look...that what's exactly he's been thinking at his back of his mind too!!! burgerrrrrr (not sure what burger though)...lol

Pic 3: The 'Tokidoki' Happy Family...
*Well, I'm not an extreme collector so you'll not find all the bbs by tokidoki in this pic..

(In the pic L> R: Fighter 100%, LA Robber 100%, Soccer 100%, Tiger 100%)

* Well, if you've yet to see/meet the creator of Tokidoki (in real life or in pic), here's a pic taken at STGCC last year...Duhhh...this is my second time missing out on Simone Legno in STGCC :S

There is nothing like a good tea~

One month back from my biz trip from Seoul and some of the things I miss includes the taste of Omijia tea and Citron tea..awww...
___________________________________________________________

Pic 1/2: After-lunch tea with x-x-nim (apologies but I'm still not well-versed with the correct way of addressing ppl in Korean) @ some Traditional teahouses (Insa-dong)...and we ordered rick cakes, Omijia tea, Citron tea and...err...(I've forgotten what Mr Park ordered..keke)

Pic 3: My only consolation is that I'm still able to get some Citron Tea (or juices rather) from Gong Cha.

(In the pic: Bearbrick Series 21- Animal Secret)

**P.S. Does anyone knows where to get nicely flavoured Omijia tea and Citron Tea in S'pore? Drop me a mail @ uglycookies@hotmail.com by end Jan 2011. Best 2 suggestions from local Singapore(according to my taste bud) walks away with 1 free random 100% bearbrick each!! :)

Get it straight right...

Get it straight right that I don't give a damn to lousy services...Am not a regular to Emerald Hill (am not naming the exact but u can make a wild guess from the pic) still, I don't think I deserve such lousy services (btw, do u call a lousy service a service?? I think it's doing me more of a disservice for making my nights' out unpleasant!)..

* P.S. Can someone explain to me why it takes a total of more than an hour or two and more than 3 calls to get that ice water served?? (And that's not before I was rudely shouted back at :S )

What amazes me more is that all the other paid drinks and food could be served at a much faster speed...in fact all served before the ice water...hmm...food for thoughts...

Shades of my Life~

Hectic, hectic and more hectic life. That's what Missy Bear is foresee-ing to happen in the next 2-3 months...

Everytime Missy Bear gets busy, she is reminded of how her friends commented that she still gets the time to blog, to take up courses, to go for whatever enriching classes and blah blah blah (on top of her routine job)...Frankly, it's not that Missy Bear enjoys overstuffing activities into her already packed schedule but she just cannot imagine a life that is all about 'work, sleep and eat'...zzzZZZzzz..lol

Just as Missy Bear loves her life to be colorful and enriching, she likes objects that are visually as colorful as well! So, here you go, introducing the super colourful jellybean brickos...Aren't they pretty? :)
* Some of these brickos were previously introduced in another entry.

Spot the bearbrick!!

Missy Bear went gaga over the last loooooooooooong wkend and went on a 'shopping' spree at Kinokuniya!!! One of the titles she bought was by author Jimmy Liao and Missy Bear thought this would be a good time to share with readers 2 bearbricks she owned, designed by Jimmy Liao :)
___________________________________________________________
In the pic: Taipei Toy Fest Bearbrick...hmm..2009? Can't remember exactly...lol

*Try spotting the camouflaged bearbrick!

In the pic: Bearbrick Series 19 (Animal- Jimmy Liao)
* Frankly, Missy Bear was praying hard not to get this when she was drawing the blindbox! The donkey in Jimmy's work looks so much better than the bearbrick itself!!!!!!!!! Somehow, Missy Bear felt that the donkey bearbrick looks as if it is having a serious lack of sleep with that 'dark circles-lookalike' beneath it's eyes....duhhhhhhh...

The Uglies...

Missy Bear loves toys~ and she got herself her first-ever 'Uglies' last night! Not exactly a Ultimate 'Uglies' fan but the one she saw last night was simply too cute (or rather, silly-looking) to resist..

P.S. This 'Ugly' is actually from the dinosaur series, Series 1...haha...that's how outdated Missy Bear is...lol

The Beatles vs Elvis Presley

Missy Bear could always remember those days where the English Oldies were blasting out loud from the CC. near her grandparents' house. Weekly visit were made complete with those 'even the 12th floor occupants could hear' music. Those were the days..Those were the memories..Sadly, gone were those days too :(

*Bling Bling*

A fren thought I 'blinged' (with studs n not crystals though) my old classic bag when she saw the other bag of mine!!

* keke...Missy Bear's not that rich yet to afford the risk of damaging the classic bag while 'blinging' it la..lol

World Cup Fever 2010

Was supposed to enter this entry last week but last week was a really bad week for Missy Bear, with a series of lousy events happening at the same time... :(

World cup kicks in on 11th June, if I remembered correctly and it reminds me of this bearbrick I owned...Pic says a thousand words..

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the pic: Tokidoki soccer bearbrick 100%
(if I remember correctly, they released only 1,000 of this; correct me if I'm wrong)

Loves the design of the bearbrick for it truly reflects the 'flavour' of soccer (though I'm not a soccer fan)...
--
The bearbrick was marked with cheerings, soccer balls, soccer field on the body of the bearbrick and even better, soccer boots for the bearbrick itself!!! Ain't it cool? :)

'亂' + 'Matsu' = Cool!

Missy Bear loves great music and she is one who would 'silly-ing' purchase an album just for a song she likes. Gotta this chinese pop album '亂' released by Jaycee..

What prompted me to buy this album is really the song '忠'....I was so drawn to the arrangements when I first heard of this song...unconventional mandarin pop arrangements+ nice drumming = cool! It somewhat falls into those genre I pretty much like (e.g. 'One step closer' by Linkin Park)...Not forgetting, I thought those lyrics were quite well-written too!

Having said that, one thing I personally felt lacking from the song '忠' is the lack of '殺氣' in the vocals. With the strong arrangements + drumming backing, I was really looking forward to some strong vocals to hit in...The vocals however fall short of what I was expecting and I thought it didn't really manage to bring out the entire 'soul' of the song.. :(

Anyway, Missy Bear had yet to review the rest of the album and it would be unfair to make recommendations based on one song. Alright, keys down and time for review! :p

* Missy Bear loves to see how both her '最愛' (bearbricks + album) is co-existing in harmony..hah! :)

I'm lovin it~

Whee~ My complete set of Kaws dissected bearbricks! No no, I'm not a 'completionist' or whatever you call. Getting the complete set is really cuz all 3 of them are simply unique and beautiful in their own way...

* By the way, I'm loving my new camera too...!!! It's finally doing some 'justices' to my bearbricks!!! :)

Postages from overseas~

Alright..since my brain is still pretty active from work (I call this the after-work effect), have decided to do a quick blog before I end my day and sleep..

Received 2 overseas packages today (hmm..I meant yesterday) and I always like the 'thrill' of opening the packages (though I would have guessed what the contents are...)

dadahhhh....2 more bearbricks to join Missy Bear's big family...Here u go...

'Bear'-rid with Candies...Yum yum!

Missy Bear got herself a new camera yesterday- Canon Ixus 130..! Hopefully will do more justice to the bearbricks (by capturing better images) :)

So here you go..the first trial pic using Canon Ixus 130. Yet to really explore how the 'manual' functions work...hopefully soon!

Chicken Ham'bear'ger....

Following last night Kueh Lapis to go with my antibiotics, tonight's dinner a chicken hamburger to go.

Not exactly my fav but I don't believe in spending on food when I'm not having the appetite to do so..And when dinner's not readily available at home, guess this would be the best choice..quick, easy and affordable..

* Missy Bear would rather choose sleep over eat after a week of looooooooong night (or rather day and night)......When is this Asia and US 'turmoil' coming to an end?? In to week 3, Missy Bear is really gonna turn into a mouldy Missy Panda Bear going at this rate!!!!!!!

I need outdoor fun and sunlight!!! sobz :_(
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the pic:
Gettry Hamburger bearbrick 100%
(The bearbrick somewhat looks more delicious/jucier than the real burger...I might just bite into the wrong 'burger' with my lack of sleep...zzzz)

Camouflaged in Kueh Lapis...

If not for my medication that reads 'after meals', I wouldn't have gotten these Kueh Lapis on my way home earlier.. Not that there aren't any other alternatives around...But rather, I don't really fancy any heavy or proper meals at this wee hours (unless it is a hanging out session with kakis)

P.S. I really miss those days where I could 'supper' as if there is no tomorrow... :(
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Wouldn't it be lovely if one day somebody decides to sell Kueh Lapis in the shape of bearbricks? :P
